Cebu Destinations & Meeting Areas
Shay arranges meetings in Cebu City and Lapu-Lapu (Mactan). This page lists public areas and transport facts. It is not a list of hotels that ignore guest rules, and Shay will not help you bypass a property's policy.
Cebu City
- Cebu Business Park and IT Park (Lahug) — hotels, serviced apartments, and restaurants used by business travelers. Grab is the usual ride-hail.
- Ayala Center Cebu / Cebu IT Park edge — mall dining and hotel-district evenings. Confirm dress code with the restaurant you book.
- Banilad / North Reclamation — quieter hotel strips; allow extra time in weekday traffic.
Ask your hotel in your own name whether visitors are allowed, until what hour, and whether IDs are logged. Shay does not negotiate that for you.
Mactan (Lapu-Lapu)
- Mactan-Cebu International Airport (MCIA) — companions do not meet airside. Plan a hotel or restaurant after you clear arrivals.
- Mactan resort belt — longer transfer from Cebu City via Marcelo Fernan Bridge. Build 45–90 minutes each way depending on time of day.
- Punta Engaño / Mactan Newtown area — common for dinner-plus-hotel evenings if the property allows guests.
Dinner areas
Shay does not reserve tables. You book the restaurant. Choose a place that takes reservations, has a clear guest policy, and is reachable by Grab. Fine dining in hotel restaurants often needs a jacket-level dress code — tell Shay so the companion can dress accordingly.
Getting there
- Grab is widely used in Cebu City and Mactan. Pin a lobby or mall entrance, not a room number, for first contact.
- Metered taxis exist but fares vary; agree the app trip before you leave.
- Private cars help for multi-stop VIP evenings; the driver does not need the companion's full name.
